Hire Old Larchwood, home of Moth in a China Shop

Since the charity has been holding fundraising events at Old Larchwood we are often told by the attendees that the location would be hugely sought after should it be available for public use. Listening to our supporters we have done just that; what better way to help us raise more money for Moth in a China Shop? We are now offering people the chance to hire our beautiful wood for wedding receptions, outdoor events and other occasions.

The wood itself is 40 acres but has a natural clearing ideal for events of all kinds. The charity uses the wood to hold its outdoor events and also offers it to the scouts and guides for outdoor pursuit weekends.

The woodland used to be open public gardens and has been visited by some rather impressive guests over the years, one being the Queen of England whilst she was residing in her Norfolk Home in Sandringham.

Old Larchwood was planted over 200 years ago and plays home to rare species of trees and an abundance of wildlife including Deer, Squirrels, Birds of Prey, Rabbits and many more. We love our furry, flying and four legged friends at Old Larchwood as it makes the experience that little bit more removed from the hustle and bustle of society and everyday life, so we ask the same of you to please respect our wildlife and our woodland too.

The wood has grown over the past 3 years into an ideal location for events; we now have toilets and showers, electricity, lighting, parking and good access to large vehicles. (Please note there is no drinking water on site).

Offering the site to the public will increase our charities income as well as raise awareness of our beautiful wood.
